Mental Health first aid is an evidence-based, public health training program that teaches participants the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges or crisis, what to do in an emergency, and where to turn for help. MHFA is implemented around the U.S. and the world. Research has shown that the training reduces stigma, enhances behavioral health literacy, and improves participants' behavioral health.

Mental Health Center of Denver is a non-profit organization but we have subsidized these important trainings for the community. Your $29 registration fee helps to cover the cost of our certified trainers. You will also receive an on-line training manual. 

This course will be offered virtually via the Zoom platform. Please ensure you have the Zoom app loaded on your computer with camera and sound capability before you register. Closer to your course date, you will receive a link via email to complete part one- a 2-hour self-paced module. You will then receive a Zoom email invite for part 2; the 4-hour instructor-led class for the date above. Please note: if you do not complete Part One of the course, you will be ineligible for Part 2 and a refund cannot be provided.
