Youth Mental Health First Aid is a groundbreaking prevention program. The course teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges that are common among adolescents and young adults. YMHFA is implemented around the U.S. and the world. Research has shown that the training enhances behavioral health literacy, reduces stigma, increases knowledge of professional and self-help resources, increases participants' confidence helping in a crisis situation, and improves behavioral health of participants.

Mental Health Center of Denver is a non-profit organization but we have subsidized these important trainings for the community. Your $29 registration fee helps to cover the cost of our certified trainers. You will receive an on-line training manual. 

This course will be offered virtually via the Zoom platform. Please ensure you have the Zoom app loaded on your computer with camera and sound capability before you register. Closer to your course date, you will receive a link via email to complete part one- a 2-hour self-paced module. You will then receive a Zoom email invite for part 2; the 4-hour instructor-led class for the date above. Please note: if you do not complete Part One of the course, you will be ineligible for Part 2 and a refund cannot be provided.
